Bespoke Joinery Sash Windows
Sash windows are a classic way of enhancing and adding elegance to your home. Catton Windows can design and manufacture bespoke sash windows for customers across East Anglia. We consult with our clients throughout the process so that our sash windows don’t just fit the specifications of your home, but your personal taste as well.
We are proud to be in the minority of companies who still manufacture all our products in our very own workshop, largely by hand. Our skilled craftsmen use very little machinery to achieve the truly bespoke design, while our three workshop facilities enable us to personalise every stage of the process, from production of your sash windows to inspection and fine sanding, and finally painting and glazing all in our Norwich Norfolk based workshop.
All of our customers benefit from a full CAD design service before we even set foot in our production workshop. This includes a full inspection of your property to ensure we have the right measurements and understanding of its appearance, as well as a consultation with the homeowner regarding their vision for the sash windows.
Finding the right wood for your sash windows is half the battle. Thankfully, Catton Windows is a specialist company and we can make a recommendation based on our expertise. We primarily work with European Oak or Meranti for their superior stability and resistance to decay. Accoya is another favourite of ours. This is an environmentally treated timber that has been engineered to replicate all the best features of tropical hardwood, from its exceptional dimension stability and paint retention to its durability.
Because of the daily wear and tear they receive, our doors are only made of the highest quality materials so they stand the test of time. All our doors are handcrafted using Merranti as standard. However other timbers such as European Oak or Accoya® are available too.
Accoya® is a treated wood from sustainable sources and is highly durable, providing exceptional performance in even the most demanding situations, making it ideal for exterior doors.
"We are so pleased with our hardwood windows and doors. As well as being functional, we regard them as 'pieces of furniture,' and have noticed a considerable difference in the warmth of the house. We’ve received many compliments regarding the appearance and workmanship and wish to thank you for your personal attention in this matter."
